All the members of TXT had the whole day off, making them do whatever they pleased.
As to that, their Maknae decided to watch some Netflix in the living room. The rest just sat at the kitchen island, looking at their cute Maknae, smiling.
"He's such a strange thing, isn't he?" Taehyun said, sipping some orange juice.
"You got that right." Beomgyu said.
"Yup..." Soobin said, not even listening on what's going on and checking his Weverse page.
For Yeonjun, he just stared at the cute like vocalist and dancer. Ever since their debut, Yeonjun kind of developed feelings for the younger. He knew it was wrong, but, his heart couldn't deny that.
So, Yeonjun was whipped.
And, there was no denying it.
Choi Yeonjun had a crush on the one and only Huening Kamal Kai, the Maknae of TXT.
As he kept gazing at the youngest, Taehyun looked at him and smirked.
"So, our own Yeonjun has a crush on our Hyuka?"
Yeonjun suddenly snapped out of it and looked at Taehyun, who was smirking.
"Aish, stop talking shit. I don't like him, and that's final."
"You sure about that, mate? It sounds like you're denying it."
"We saw you with our very eyes, Yeonjun." Beomgyu said, smirking in triumph as Taehyun.
"I do not have a crush on him for christ sake!" Yeonjun said dramatically.
"Okay, fine then. If you don't want admit that you do have a crush on Kai, we dare you to ignore him for the whole day."
"WHAT?!" Yeonjun suddenly bursted out.
"Go big or go home, dude. You have to do it." Beomgyu said.
"I'm not doing anything stupid! I can't do that to Kai. You know he's an attention seeker! I can't say no to him!" Yeonjun said, pouting.
"Well, something's gotta give." Taehyun said, wolf-whistling.
"You little shi-"
"Well, he's coming over here now! See you!" Taehyun said quickly, shoving a distracted Soobin and a creepy smirking Beomgyu away from the kitchen island.
"TAEHYUN, BEOMGYU, SOOBIN! COME BACK HERE AND LET ME BEAT THOSE FINE ASSES OF YOURS! I'LL MAKE SURE IT'S A FINE WORK OF AR-"
"Hyung? Are you okay? You were yelling, so, I came over here to see if you were okay!" The youngest said, smiling softly.
Yeonjun suddenly panicked. How can he ignore this cute little-
No. He needed to do this bet.
Damn, life is very tough indeed.
"I-I'm fine, okay?! Just leave me alone." Yeonjun said and walking away quickly from the kitchen island as well, leaving Kai by himself.
The youngest then pouted.
"Hyung's very mean today."
[A Few Hours Later]
Yeonjun was now in his dorm. He tried to call Taehyun and the others but they won't damn respond!
"You guys are so dead when you guys get here." Yeonjun said darkly, sending the text message.
He then got a response from Beomgyu.
Gyuggie: Enjoy your alone time together~
And, that's when Kai came in.
Yeonjun jumped and hid his phone under the sheets of his bed and cleared his throat.
"Hyung~ wan' cuddles~" Kai said, walking over to Yeonjun and laying down on him.
Oh no.
Now what?!
He couldn't think. He had to think of something.
Oh!
"No Kai, get off me. I don't want cuddles right now. I just want to take a nap." before taking Kai off him and turning his body to the left side of the bed.
He then heard Kai shuffle away from the dorm.
Yeonjun was now in the living room watching "Crash Landing on You." It was already evening. Can't this day get any worse?
He then saw Kai join him.
"Hyung, what are you watching? Ooo, Crash Landing on You? I love that one." Huening Kai said brightly.
Yeonjun then ignored him again and went to the kitchen to wash some dishes since it was mostly his duty.
He went over to the sink and started washing dishes.
As he was doing that, he started to sweat a little. If he didn't win this bet, no wonder what would happen. He needed to win.
But at the same time, he couldn't ignore the youngest, can he?
While he was trying to shake off those thoughts, he jumped again in shock when he felt two arms wrap around his waist. One of the plates fell out of his hands and cracked in the sink.
"Kai, look what you did!" Yeonjun said in an angry-like voice, trying to collect the shards of the broken plate.
He then sighed.
"Kai, get off me right no-"
He then heard sniffling behind his back. He widened his eyes and looked back.
Kai was crying.
Holy mother of fuck.
He made Kai cry!
Yeonjun quickly took out his hands out of the kitchen sink and turned around, seeing Kai still clinging to him like a Koala.
He was feeling bad now.
He didn't care about the bet that much anymore. He hurt his bandmate's feelings, and, it would be wrong to keep hurting him more.
He carried Kai and moved him on top of the kitchen counter, trying to wipe the youngest's tears away.
"Hyuka, don't cry. I'm sorry, okay?" Yeonjun said, placing a kiss on top of Kai's head softly.
"W-why were you ignoring me? I wanted to cuddle with you, but, you pushed me away!" Kai said, pouting sadly.
"I wasn't ignoring you. It was all just because of a stupid bet I made with the others. I wouldn't ignore you just because you're too cute!" Yeonjun said, pinching his cheeks cutely.
Kai then smiled a little and wiped his tears away with his oversized brown sweater.
"R-really?"
Yeonjun then nodded sincerely.
"Forgive me now?"
"Yes."
"Good."
"Also...Hyung?"
"Yeah, Kai?"
"Earlier, I overheard Taehyungie saying you liked me since our debut..."
"R-really?" Yeonjun said, blushing madly.
"Y-yeah...I was just wondering if you did like me?"
"Kai- I-"
Kai then kissed Yeonjun's cheek.
"Because don't worry, Hyung. I like you too." Kai said, looking at Yeonjun brightly.
"W-wait, really?" Yeonjun said, his eyes almost bulging out of eyes and heart thumping through 60.
"Mhm!"
Yeonjun then sighed and smiled at the youngest.
"I'm really glad you overheard me and the others..." Yeonjun said, wrapping his arms around Kai's waist.
"Me too." Kai said, wrapping his hands around Yeonjun's neck before the two were about to kiss.
Until...
"Hey! What about the bet?!" Taehyun said, coming out of the air vents, along with Beomgyu and Soobin.
"WHAT THE FUCK?! YOU GUYS BEEN HIDING IN THE VENTS?!" Yeonjun said, staring at them in anger.
"Yup! With the help of Soobin!" Taehyun said.
"Mhm...you're welcome I guess." Soobin said, still commenting on his fans' Weverse posts with his phone.
"So, the bet is over?" Beomgyu said.
Yeonjun then breathed in and out deeply and looked at Kai before looking at the three again.
"I guess the bet was worth it."
And, worth was the bet indeed.
