Chapter Text
Callum had only been home a couple of days. From finishing his the tour of duty with the army. But here he found himself, stood in front of the mirror in his little studio flat. In skinny jeans and a tight buttoned shirt in a light blue pattern. His best friend had decided that she was taking Callum out on a night out to celebrate he being back even it was just for a bit.
But he was nervous. He didn’t really do this, wasn’t his thing. He was always too nervous. Put him on the battlefield or in the kitchen and he was fine, it was what he knew. But in a bar, he was out of his comfort zone. Given he was extra nervous tonight, his best friend Ashley. Had told him that she was taking him to a gay bar. Callum had only just told her he was gay when he was home before he went on tour the last time. She remind him that he didn’t try to meet someone then, he wouldn’t meet anyone.
His phone bleeped with a text, Ash was waiting for him outside his flat. He quickly grabbed his wallet, phone and keys. Leaving the flat, and meeting Ash outside in the cab.
“Hey you” Ash says as he gets into the cab.
“Hey yourself, can’t believe you’re talked me into this.” Callum replies.
“You need to have some fun and let your hair down.” Ash tells her.
“I know just nervous, don’t do any of this do I” Callum said.
The cab ride to the club was short to be far. The club from the outside wasn’t what Callum expected. He expected it to bright and bold to straight away know it’s was a gay bar. But it wasn’t it was subtle and bold at the time.
It didn’t take long before him and ash were inside getting a drink from the bar and finding themselves a booth to the side the dance floor. As soon as their first drink was finished. Ash pulled Callum to the dance floor. Callum hated dancing, but he did it for his friend that had brought him out in the first place.
Callum did let his eyes to wonder, over the many men that surrounded him. But only one that he liked the look of.
A shorter man, short brown hair. In tight jeans and a leather jacket. With a smirk across his face as his eyes meant Callum’s. As soon as their meant Callum panicked and looked away. But he couldn’t stop himself from looking back again and again.
It became clear to Callum that the man was watching him. Watching him dancing with ash. It didn’t take long before ash noticed Callum looking at him.
“Come on then, it that you type then is it?” Ash asks him.
Callum couldn’t change the topic of conversation quick enough. He quickly asked if ash wanted a drink, moving to the bar to order himself and ash a drink.
When he looked back to where the man was standing for another look. The man was gone, disappeared. Callum was guttered inside, he had lost his chance to even say hi to the guy.
It wasn’t until he handed ash her drink. That a different man, one that looked like he worked at the club came over to them.
“Hey, you present as been requested in the VIP area. If you would follow me?” The man says.
Leaving Callum and ash confused but ash still got Callum to follow the guy with her.
