“Grandpa, grandpa…” Eli ran over his grandpa.
“He’s grown so much since the last time I saw him.” Noah told his son and his son in law as he collected the toddler in his arms.
Stiles looked at his husband with pride, he was glowing with happiness.
“Dad, did you just come back from work?” Stiles noticed the weariness in his dad’s face.
“Yes, it was a last minute call.” Noah replied.
“We can go to have breakfast while you rest dad, you do know that you are going to need more strength with this one.” Stiles suggested he was worried about his dad.
“Okay, I guess it’s better that I’ll take a nap,” Noah said, noticing the look that his son gave him, and then he told Eli, “Eat breakfast, Eli, I’ll be home when you come back, and then we are going to the zoo.”
Eli hugged his grandpa and then could feel his dad Derek taking and hugging him from his grandpa.
“We are going to see grandpa soon, son.” Derek kissed his son’s forehead, noticed the way that he looked over his grandpa.
They went to the local restaurant, enjoying eating breakfast and watching their son eating. Eli has been playing with food, even enjoying it.
The Stilinski-Hale enjoyed their family time together, passing hours as they ate breakfast. Stiles wanted his dad to rest, he knew that his dad would have his handful with Eli and didn’t want to wear him down so quickly.
When they were done eating, they headed over to Stilinski’s house, and Stiles hoped that his dad rested and ate properly.
The door was opened and Eli shouted over his grandpa as soon as he saw him.
“Hey, Eli, missed me?” Noah asked, hearing the toddler laughing as he hugged him, and kissing him on the cheek.
“When are we going?” Noah asked his son.
“We can head over to the zoo now, we can stay there until they are closing, that’s way, Eli could see the animal before they go to sleep.” Stiles replied with a suggestion.
“Well, let’s go then, time is ticking.” Noah urged the couple as he still held the child, knowing that Eli won’t let go of him.
They headed over to the zoo, taking their dad’s car, knowing that his dad also had a seat for Eli in his car.
“Zoo, going to zoo…” Eli beamed, his eyes were sparkling with excitement.
“Yes, Eli, we are going to see animals in the zoo.” Derek told his son, ruffling the toddler’s hair softly.
“Do you know the sound of what the elephant is doing with his long nose?” Noah asked, watching his grandson from the mirror as he drove.
Eli made the noise that he once mimicked with his grandpa, and his parents were beamed with pride over their son.
Once Noah parked the car, he got out, and then collected his grandson back to his arms
They stood at the entrance, paid for the tickets and walked inside.
“Eli, did I tell you the time that your dad Stiles was a zookeeper?” Noah asked, he turned around to see his son covered his face.
“That couldn’t be that embarrassing, right?” Derek asked his husband, and then he turned back to his father in law, wanting to know more details.
“Dad, please don’t, for the love of God, please.” Stiles asked, feeling that it is going to fall into deaf ears, as he saw his dad grinning at him.
“I think that it was around when you were fifteen or earlier, you asked to work in the zoo, and Brad which is the manager took you, because he knew that I’m the sheriff, and when Stiles started to work there, I guess that’s when the ADHD took over, as Brad gave you an assignment, you did it but something happened and you were found in the other side of the zoo, feeding the gorillas, while you were supposed to clean the giraffes, and according to Brad, he was surprised to see giraffes walking around free and snatching snacks from the visitors, overall I think that Stiles lasts in the zoo, around two, three days, until Brad fired him.” Noah told them the story with a smile.
Derek looked at his husband and then kissed him, “I love you, husband of mine.”
“I love you too, Der.” Stiles said, kissing his husband.
“Well, that was my last time in the zoo, afterwards I think that I mostly try to help dad with his work.” Stiles said.
“Don’t worry love, I’m sure that today we are going to have so much fun,” Derek hugged him, keeping him closer and turning to ask Noah, “Meet you in the resting place around half hour? I’m sure that Eli will be hungry by then.”
“Yes, I guess that we can do that, right Eli?” Noah asked, love to hear his grandson giggling.
Derek and Stiles watched them walking, and Stiles asked, “So, what do you want us to do during the time?”
Derek grinned, “I thought that we should see if Brad is still working here, I’ve been wondering if he may have wolves or other supernatural creatures which I can set free, since I’m the alpha, and you are my spark, in case that they caught by hunters and brought over to the zoo.”
“I didn’t think of it, but it is a good idea,” Stiles agreed with his husband, holding his hand, “Let’s go find Brad.”
“Stilinski, what are you doing here?” Jackson asked, he looked over at his alpha, and noticed the soft smile that Derek gave him.
“It seemed that you already know that I’m here, Jax,” Stiles replied, noticing the glances between his husband and Jackson, as he added, “What are you doing here?”
“Just doing gigs, working with my boyfriend here, helping Brad when the hunters bring him some were-creatures.” Jackson replied as he hugged Stiles.
“No wonder why you suggested the zoo, Der,” Stiles cupped his husband face as he tip toes and kissed him on his lips, “Go, do your things, I’ll just watch you in action, and hope that we won’t be late, we still need to take care of our son.”
“Where is your son?” Jackson asked, he felt good talking with his best friend.
“He is with my dad, probably near the elephant, Eli loves them plus making the noises.” Stiles replied, chuckling.
“Stiles. It’s good seeing you here, I guess that you are not alone here?” Brad, the manager, spotted Stiles, the teenager that he didn’t see in a while.
“No, I’m not alone, I brought my family with me, my husband is checking the potential were-creatures that the hunters brought and not killed.” Stiles replied.
Stiles saw the manager sighed in relief, as he added, “My son and my dad are around, I do hope that my son, Eli, doesn’t know how to use the spark, he has both of our powers.”
“I hope to God that it won’t happen, I had enough when you came to work here.” Brad said, wishing that there are not going to be any accidents.
Stiles only grinned.
“I want to know the whole story.” Jackson stated and looked at the spark.
“All in due time,” Stiles told him, and then he asked, “What are you planning to do after Derek will finish howling and doing his thing?”
“Probably trying to help and locate their packs.” Ethan replied as he joined his boyfriend.
“Now, that’s amazing.” Derek voices as he walks over his husband.
“Your pack is doing a great job, you are a great alpha, Der.”
“I know,” Derek kissed his husband, telling him as he grinned, and then he noticed the time on his watch, “Stiles, love, we are late, I’m sure that Eli is hungry, and I know that your dad is probably bought him food, we need to head over there.”
“Go, we are still going to be in Beacon Hills, maybe we can check in tomorrow over breakfast?” Ethan urged the alpha and the spark as he suggested.
“We will love too.” Stiles said, leaving the betas as he joined his husband looking over the resting area.
