Rosa couldn't help but laugh maniacally as she watched her newest member crawl to her. He was bloody and desperate and looked to be in despair.
"Danny," She starts getting up from the creaky old porch stairs, heavy hunting boots grinding against gravel with every step she took, goldfish brown eyes glinting from the crappy flashlights and barely lit fire that the other teens had set up."Why'd you come back so bloody. I thought you said it would be easy to kill them all."
Danny slowly put himself onto his knees, his eyes downcast as a pained groan left his lips. He gripped his stomach tightly, as if to help stanch the bleeding. Rosa tilted her head, bending her body towards her right as far as she would dare. She wanted to see how bloody this boy could be.
Wanted to see if he was worth keeping.
"Rosa, I think we should help him." A girl spoke up, the crunching of gravel followed close by her voice. "He's bleeding out pretty fast, we can't loose a member now, when you barely just made this crew."
"Yes, please, please help me, Rosa!" Danny finally spoke up, bloodied and beaten face finally looking into the light. His nose was bashed in and an eye seemingly popped, a few of his front teeth were bashed in, leaving his a slurring mess. His one working eye looking at Rosa with desperation.
"No." Rosa said, shocking all 5 people in this little area, her eyes glaring down at Danny's broken body. "He failed our crew. He's going to get us caught as a whole. For now, clean up any traces of yourselves being here… I'll deal with Danny."
Rosa picks Danny by the scalp, she was stronger then the others expected her to be. Though few knew she worked part time at a storage unit, which required her to left objects three times her weight. It took awhile for her to do that, but she really wanted to impress her crew before this.
Now…
Now she holds no love for them anymore.
If Danny, the most sadistic fucker in school failed to kill that little twig of a whore Alaine with a ducking Kitchen knife of all things. What hope did she have for the others. She took him into the rotting cabin she found when she was no more then 13.
She loved this place, and had tried to put it back into it's former glory. Though, she'll have to give up on it after this. She throws Danny across the room, his body sliding a bit before halting.
Rosa watched as he sat up, before grabbing a bat and swinging it at his head. The heavy sound of metal cracking against bone vibrated in her head. The scent of blood, sweat, and piss starting to fill the room.
She couldn't help but cackle.
"Did you fucking piss yourself, Danny?" She laughs out load, kicking at Danny's prone body to the side, revealing a small puddle of piss. "Oh my God, you did piss yourself, Danny Boy!"
"Fuck you!" He slurred out, gripping his bloodied head, clearly unable to focus on anything anymore. "Please, give me a second chance, Rosa! I promise, I won't make another mistake! I swear i-ah!"
Rosa swing the bat again, making Danny's head swing backwards, and a Small bit of blood spirt from his mouth. The Clack of teeth gave her a quick clue that he'll be missing a piece of his tongue in the after life. Though she doesn't aim for his head anymore, she aims for his kneecaps.
His body was already crumpled to the side, his legs exposed in the open. She swings one bat down, so hard that she hears something snap before Danny goes in agony. She felt a giggle erupt from her throat, filling the cabin up with the evil intent as the giggle turned into a cackle onto a howl of laughter. Eyes, barely peaking out from her scrunched up face, her open mouth laugh exposing her sharper than average teeth. It practically glinted in the barely moon lit room, where the crappy flashlights the others had started to fade away.
"Mistake? Second chance?" Rosa says, tapping Danny's curled up form with the bat, looking as he grips his busted knee. "Daniel, you were told that of you fucked up, you'd die. I told you that myself. I'm sorry if you thought that was a joke, but I was serious about this."
She kneels next to his body, gripping his scalp again and pulling his head back. His hand reached up to grip her wrist, but he didn't dare put pressure into it. She forces his head to angle towards her direction, simply to look at his still working eye. Rosa's eyes looked like they closed on the night, a shining gold in such a dark room. Danny knew he fucked up, then and there, thinking he'd be able to do as he pleased, when he pleased, where he pleased, simply because he could kill.
He forgot that he wasn't to kill recklessly, or desperately. God…
"I killed Cole for no reason then?" He chokes out, wheezing through the pain in his knee to his chest, up to his eye and down to the closing feeling in his throat. "I… I could've killed Alaine at that time I was with Cole, and I could've gotten away with it, because Cole could've taken the fall because of how high he was. I-.... I killed my best friend for no reason?"
"Oh, Danny," Rosa coos, letting go of Danny's hair, watching as he thuds his head against the wooden floor, a smile gracing her lips as she rubs at his tense shoulders. "You did so good at killing them all, even if one of them was your little fuck toy. You just weren't very good at killing people in the right order. That's why I must kill you. The others left, there's only me and you here, so now…. Now you can do back with your old Friends… That is, if You see them in hell of course."
Danny's body starts quivering, sniffles and soft, almost hushed whines start leaving his body. Rosa merely smiled down at him before she gets up, heaving a heavy groan and stretching her body out. She felt and heard her spine crackle, and her shoulders flooding with sudden release. Then she looks down at Danny.
He was still curled around the destroyed knee. A roguish smile forms before she turns her body fully towards him, raises the metal bat as far back as she physically could.
Then swings down at his other leg, unprotected and limp. Another crack, and a agonizing scream erupts in the cabin. Rosa didn't laugh this time, despite her sharp smile. She swings the bat again, hitting Danny's back, once.
Twice.
Three times.
The forth is when she can visible see the back look like it caved a little. Another agonized scream escapes Danny.
"Tell me Danny " She shouts over his pain, stepping on his freshly destroyed knee, and grinding into it. "Tell me how it feels to die to someone you thought would save and protect you."
She doesn't get a response, though…
Technically she did, as he lets out a pain filled sob. A low cry, followed by squeals of despair as what he did sunk in at last.
"Even if you hadn't killed Cole." Rosa says, bringing Cole back into the topic. "I would've killed him. He may be a fucking useless drug addict, but he's a loose lipped fucker that would've spilled simply because he thought he imagined all this."
"You will be staying here, from now on." She continues, grunting as she swings the bat into Danny's head once more, the metal ping filling the air as Danny's sobs stopped. "Fuck, I didn't even finish talking to you."
Rosa growled at Danny's limp body, and in a fit of frustration, she lifts a foot up as high as she could, and stomps on one of his limp arms. Stomping repeatedly before hearing the crunch of bones.
"I'm going to burn this cabin." She says out loud, walking around the cabin, and shuffling through the area. "And you'll put with it. I need that Alaine girl gone, and if it means framing her for your death, so be it. We can not be stopped in our goal."
She pulls out a gallon of gas, and shakes it; she is as able to hear the thick 'glugnk, glugnk' noise of a full gallon. She nots before opening the cap as she walks towards Danny. She kicks him once more, making sure he was unconscious.
"Pain must've nocked him out." She muttered before she starts pouring the gas over Danny, around the floor and out the cabin, just a good few yards from where the lit campfire was. "God, he was annoying. 'I could've done that. I could've done this! I could've kept my sex toy alive a little longer!' Shut the fuck up."
She grabs one of the still burning tinders, hissing as it burned into her skin before tossing it at the gasoline trail. She watched as it bursts to live, blazing it's way up the gas trail and into the cabin. She watched as the building lit up from the inside.
"I forgot about the door." She frowned out, walking by the fire trail before making it to the door. Just as she gripped the handle, she hears Danny scream in more agony and fear then ever before. It made her look at his scrambling form, as it tried to get up and started to fumble around.
Rosa just stood at the open door and looked at his burning body, feeling joy well up into her chest. He really did try his best to survive.
She watched as he got up and started running towards her. The way his body was in flames was mesmerizing, his remaining eye looked like it was practically melting into itself. It was practically a miracle when he screamed her name and ran towards her, arms forward.
It was quite unfortunate that she was tall we then him by a good few inches, and unfortunately stronger too. She stands form as she kicks him back into the cabin, hearing him break the crappy stool she stole from the neighbor's yard three supers ago. Then….
Then she slams the door to the cabin, and slams the outer light lock onto its wedges.
"I knew installing these would come in handy some day." She says before dusting her hands and ignoring the slamming on the door and her name being revealed to the entire woods, she decided to 'sing' over her troublesome friend. "I got myself a fish in the lake, it was to big and fat for me. So I handed to the fish to the widower who sat next to me on the porch. He laughed and said 'thank you, this feed my child and I for the next to night!' "
She continues to sing, mumbling the lyrics out as she leaves the area. She looked forward, down the trail and past the tree lines.
Her third kill sinking into her skin.
She managed to kill three people in her entire life. The thrill of killing them wearing off, as a cold dread fills her chest.
That annoyed her.
'Maybe I should get more personal.' She wonders, pausing as she hears a bush shuffle.
"Lydia, come out from there." She says, turning slightly to the rustles she heard.
"Hey… Rosa." Lydia says, pausing hesitantly before walking closer to Rosa, she held herself nervously, looking down at Rosa's feet. "I…"
"Shh." Rosa says, walking up to Lydia and gently touches the girl's face, slowly leading her to look at the larger woman. "It's alright, Lydia. You don't have to kill again if you don't want to."
Lydia shakes her head, grabbing ahold of Rosa's wrist, nervousness easing back a little as she looks at her on earnest,"No! I uhm.. the that's the thing… I… I want to do this again, Rosalin. I want to kill someone again."
Rosa felt that cold dread vanish, a spark of love and excitement erupting in her chest. It was so strong that she couldn't help but kiss Lydia, surprising the small girl. Rosa picks Lydia up after the kiss and spins her, earning a surprised laugh.
"Ooh!" Rosa says excitedly, gently setting Lydia down and holding her hands gently as they start going down the trail faster. "I'm so happy you want to kill again! Sadly, we'll have to wait a bit till things calm down around here. So long as no one can find out who did it, we'll be good."
Lydia laughed, smiling brightly up at Rosa.
The giant woman, barely past 6'1, had the most beautiful wavy, brown hair, barely held back by a fraying black scrunchy and sticking to her forehead thanks to her sweat. She wore her father's old hunting clothes and worn out jeans she borrowed from her brother. She was beautiful in Lydia's eyes, and so happy that Rosa kissed her.
"I love you." She says breathlessly, eyes still looking at Rosa in admiration.
And Rosa stopped, causing Lydia to crash a bit into Rosa's back.
She considers Lydia's words carefully.
She knew she couldn't feel the same.
She'll never feel the same.
But she looks at Lydia carefully. Her small frame that once quivered when she held a kitchen knife over the pig she had her practice on. Her delicate hands turned callused as she practiced throwing the hatchets her dad once owned. How she tried not to puke after pushing that chainsaw into the guts of Maxine, just deep enough that it ended up pulling out her insides and tossing it around the ground and wall.
This girl was once weak.
Now this girl was stronger.
"I love you too, Lydia." She says, looking down at Lydia in as close to admiration she could muster, earning the brightest smile she's ever seen.
Yes.
This girl was strong.
And she was desperate for any sort of love she could get.
She was perfect.
She'll probably finish what Danny couldn't.
They'll just have to wait for the time to come though.
She laughs, a cackle like laugh.
Lydia giggled as well, unaware of her future.
And that's the way it'll stay.
Till her final breath on that carnival ride, when she looks down at the town.
Empty, and abandoned.
Just like her.
