Harry,
I’ve spent the few days since Hogwarts travelling and my thoughts haven’t left you all. I miss school more everyday.
I plan to travel to America in a few days and I will be unable to reach. I am going there to visit my father’s side of the family, meeting with my cousins and my sister Hazel.
My search for my family in Italy will start soon after that. I’m hoping that I will have enough time before school starts up again but I doubt I will find much.
How is Padfoot? Have you heard from him? I’ve been watching the newspapers and nothing has shown up, but still, I worry. If you hear from him, I want him to know that I am grateful for his help with my family, tell him this.

I miss Hogwarts as well. The Dursley’s have been jumpy since I got back. I think telling them about Padfoot was a good idea, they would probably do anything I asked if I mentioned him. I sent him a letter and he told me he is hiding, no specifics though. He’s been checking up on me though.
Dudley (My cousin) has been forced to go on a diet and so my Aunt is making all of us go on one. I’m going to be living off carrots for the rest of the holidays! I cannot do that.
Tell me about America when you get back. What are your cousins' names? Will your dad be going as well? You’ve got to tell them about winning the Quidditch cup.

Harry, I just arrived in Italy.
I found a spot to stay, it’s a small place, one room, but it’s nice.
It’s so weird being back in Venice, almost like it isn’t home anymore. I thought I’d enjoy seeing the old streets but everything has changed. It’s different. Not that it’s a bad thing but it’s weird.
America was good. I got to see my cousins Jason and Percy and some other friends and my sister. She’s doing really well, apparently she’s like my old school’s version of a Prefect. I missed them all, especially Hazel. I also met up with my friend Reyna, she hit me (Don’t worry it was very much deserved because I haven’t spoken to her since last year). They were all really surprised to see me. I hadn’t told them how long I was going to be overseas for. They were all sad when I said I had to leave again.
I’m glad I’m in Italy, although it isn’t the same as when I was younger. Tomorrow I go out searching, tonight I’m catching up on sleep.
I hope the diet goes well with the parcel attached.
Any updates on Padfoot? How are Ron and Hermione? How are your holidays going?

I take it America was fun then. Must’ve been a good time.
Ron and Hermione are doing great. Padfoot is well. I’m doing alright, bored mostly. I think I’ve read Flying with the Cannons about five times already. Hedwig’s enjoying the flights to you, she likes the freedom and always screeches madly when I take too long to reply to you.
Thanks so much for the snacks! You’re a lifesaver, honestly.
I hope your time in Italy is productive.

The Dursley’s haven’t even remembered that it's today. But Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and Sirius all sent cakes! I’ll be saving those for breaks from the stupid diet.
I’m sorry you haven’t found anything yet, but I’m sure you will soon. Let me know if you do, I’m crossing my fingers for you.

I found something. My family. I have no living relatives, but I expected that.
They were a pureblood family, very powerful. Delved in the DarkArts. That has got to be why my father was drawn to her.
There’s a Mausoleum about an hour train ride from here. I visited it. My mother wasn’t buried here but the rest of my family was. There are heirlooms here. Cursed objects and everything. I took a ring. It was rightfully mine so I don’t think of it as stealing.
I found a picture of them too. Of my mother. Of Bianca. I’m there with my dad too.
I don’t know what to do with myself. I can’t talk to anyone. I can’t even tell you this. Or my friends. Or my sister.

I know you probably won’t get this but I didn’t know who else to talk to. I had a dream… I don’t remember much about it really but I know that my scar has been hurting since I had it. The last time my scar hurt was in first year, and that was when Voldemort was at school with us. I don’t want Hermione or Ron to know because you know how they’d react and I just don’t need that now. I won’t share too much about this now but I thought you should know.
I’ve sent a letter to Padfoot about it but I don’t know if he’ll get back to me soon. I don’t even know if you will.
I hope your search is going well and that you’ve found everything you wanted. Can’t wait to see you again.
Ron just sent me a letter! He and I are going to the World Cup! You would love it, Ron says it’s going to be brilliant. Bulgaria and the Irish are playing.
I’ll send this once Hedwig gets back from hunting.
