Heartscord drabble exchange gift for Coda! Prompts included both fandoms as well as "meta,", "unconventional formats", "unhealthy relationships," and "any statement giver." We'd also recently spoken about beefleaf, so I was extra inspired.

Statement ends. 
Everyone involved appears in other statements, which is highly unusual. Mrs. Shi and her brother in #0140717 and Lian Hsieh in #0140215 (which would make him over 100 years old). Cheng Hua is referenced in #9770801, #9770308, #9770803, #9851217, and #9972509,  and “Hua Chengzhu,” likely the same person, in #0070514 and #0130916. “Demon Xuan” is also referenced in #0130916 as well as #0160529. 
Yi Ming was a supervisor with Highways England. He has not been reported missing to the police, and his coworkers say he often disappeared for weeks at a time. It's unclear how he remained employed.

Notes:

Liner notes: Hsieh is a different romanization of Xie, more popular in families that emigrated to anglophone countries longer ago. Xie Lian romanizes his surname this way because he's so old. TMA statments are numbered YYYMMDD, so you can see Hua Cheng appears in three statements in a two day time period because he's just that cool!
