ODST’s stupid story ideas

Summary:

These are short, stupid story ideas I have. I’ll try to include both a silly and a serious option so that you can choose whether you want to write crack, fic or serious fic. There is a 99.99999999999% chance I’ll never continue to write any of these, but I’m going to put them out there in case anyone else wants to instead. I only ask that if someone does want to write this that they post a link in the comments so that I can read it. Otherwise, have fun and do whatever you want with these stories.

So I’ll start out by saying that this is the first time I’ve ever posted something on A03 and I have absolutely no clue how this works. I’ll try to add to this and maybe give it chapters whenever I figure out how that works but I’ma get this first little bit out-of-the-way.

Work Text:

So the first idea is for cyberpunk edgerunners, before the show when Lucy is diving into the Old Net for Arasoka as a child, she finds an AI(for serious have it be another diver who gets killed by another AI). The AI being more sane than most(how sane depends entirely on the kind of work you want to make. Why this particular AI is sane is also up to the writer. Come up with whatever movie science you feel like) follows, the net runners pass the black wall and watches over the net runners, eventually starting to think of them as it’s kids/wards/responsibility and starts to take care of them from the shadows(or have the kids be aware of their guardian ai for sillies. for serious, make the ai a hospital or school caretaker. For more silly, have the ai be a military or industrial ai that has no idea how to help humans.). After the kids try to break out, the ai has to deal with all of them but Lucy dying. The ai then starts mother henning lucy, making sure that she is safe and happy as she goes into the world, eventually making her way to night city and joining up with Maine’s crew. The ai then goes into conniptions trying to keep the people that their kid has surrounded herself with get the whole lot of them killed. At some point the ai should exploit the fact that even Adam smasher only has so much ICE and and maybe this is where it is outed to the crew? I’ll leave that plot point up to the author.
