The room was bright, cozy, and homelike. The tall windows of the garden room filled the room with golden honey rays bathing everything with an almost dreamlike light. The floor was carpeted with dozens upon dozens of sweet smelling yellow flowers. The room was beautiful, quiet, perfect even.
Sitting together like fairytale lovers was Tenna, the Caretaker for the Royal children and, Spamton one of two Royal Scientists. The pair lounging in the garden, Tenna sitting and Spamton laying across Tenna. The two were engaged in light conversation.
The whole scene was nothing like Tenna remembered, as the last time he saw the garden it was in ruin. With flowers overgrown and windows foggy and covered with vines.
Which was curious, when exactly did he see the garden fall apart? Gaster was particular about everything, he’d never let the any part of the lab (let alone the garden) fall in to disarray.
Maybe that was all a dream?
Yes it was all a dream.
Though why did, when Tenna looked back down, Spamton’s become face blurry? Why were his features missing! Why did the room turn back to the overgrown mess it was before this, awful , wonderful dream took place?! Why did all fall apart.
Why did the memories have to come back? Why couldn’t Tenna just live here? Why couldn’t he forget that this was gone? That the children were gone. That Gaster was dead. That… that… that, He was dead. Why couldn’t it all be perfect?
Why couldn’t he just live in the memories of this perfect dream?
