Loki was courting Stephen?
Tony has been secretly pining after Loki and Stephen for months, and while he initially finds Loki’s pranks on Stephen amusing, those feelings soon turn sour when he realises that Loki’s feats of magic are a type of courtship.
He hasn’t realised that Loki’s been pranking him too.

Summary
Tony Stark was exhausted. He was doing so badly that he was willing to resort to *shudder* magic to get some rest. Thankfully, he had run into a wizard corralling Loki not even two weeks ago. Tony never imagined that there was more to his insomnia or the rewards he would get for taking the risk to ask for help.
Stephen had been desperately trying to keep Stark alive from a distance for months. He had even gone out of his way to drag Loki into helping him. An early morning phone call would give them the opening they needed to deal with the parasite feeding off of the inventor. The doctor could only hope that they were in time to heal rather than forced to execute Stark to protect the planet from the parasite.

Summary
Stephen was determined not to let Hydra have Tony. If that meant that he would be taking their place in the control magics they cast on his boyfriend then so be it. Besides, Loki was going to insist on making things official between them before long. Might as well handle the magics first.
