Summary
'The situation is easily summed up as follows: Sakura asks Sasuke for a date, Sasuke says no and walks away, she follows him, but as soon as Naruto sees that, he approaches Sakura to ask her for a date. The situation would be easily resolved if Sasuke went his way, leaving Sakura and Naruto alone, and leaving the possibility that maybe this time she accepts the date. However they never get to arrange it that way. Firstly, because Sakura never accepts the date. Secondly, because when she accepts a walk to her apartment with Naruto, Sasuke casually remembers that he has to walk in that direction as well.
The situation became really uncomfortable to watch.
At first, it was hard for Kakashi to understand why such easy thing was so difficult for his students, but after witnessing it several times he could understand. The three-way deadlock of team seven was about not allowing two teammates to spend time alone without a third party involved.'
