At the gates of Bag End, Bilbo Baggins planted the acorn from Beorn’s garden just as the late Dwarven King had urged him to. Though now, he thought it a rather tragic gesture to remember the one he swore more than his fealty to.
But as the seed settled into dainty Shire soil, another seed would sprout under silver Mirkwood leaves, centuries prior to Bilbo’s unexpected journey to Erebor.
A girl, who had not belonged in this Hobbit’s tale before, would grow to retell the fate of Durin’s folk quite differently.
She would be the new otherworldly branch intertwining into their tale, crossing paths with Oakshield and his kin to give what was meant to fall another reason to endure.
And in that strange, converging fluke, everything would change…
A seed, answering a seed.
(This is a fix-it au with Bagginshield, ofc, and an oc for Fili, because that man deserves some love.)

Erebor falls on a Tuesday.
The bond fires three minutes later, because Mahal has always had terrible timing.
Dwalin son of Fundin is standing in the wreckage of everything he has ever known, surrounded by three hundred grieving dwarves, with a rut cracking open his chest and no face to put to the one who caused it.
His One is somewhere in this.In the smoke, in the dark, in the flood of bodies pouring off a dying mountain.
He searches for twelve days.

Thorin Escudo de Roble, un enano que está en busca de recuperar su hogar junto a su compañía, está decidido a no tener distracción alguna en el camino; sin embargo, no reparó en que el decimocuarto miembro de la compañía tuviera esos hipnotizantes ojos esmeralda y ese hermoso cabello color caramelo.
¿Qué es ese sentimiento? ¿Acaso Escudo de Roble cambiará sus planes y... su comportamiento? ¿El destino de ambos se verá alterado?

Thorin isn't sure exactly when that point is, but he knows that it's probably some time before the person in question saves your life. On the far side of the Misty Mountains, Thorin realizes that he never quite caught the first part of Mr. Baggins' name, and he finds that it's astonishingly harder to learn than he would have thought. Fili, Kili, and Dwalin are no help whatsoever.

Bilbo Baggins is an empath.
Most Hobbits are, after all they come from the earth and as its children they are in touch with the deep, soulful calls of the dirt and the people that live on it. But Bilbo takes it to a new level. He feels so deeply it's almost like he isn't himself some days. He feels so deeply he sometimes catches glimpses of the past and the future.
Bilbo Baggins lives a very isolated life.
Mostly due to his own empathy, and partially because he is an Omega. The world around him is somewhat backwards in its ways, and he likes living without the threat of some savage disrupting his life with their twisted views of what he should be.
Bilbo Baggins dreams.
And in his dreams he sees the war to end all wars. He sees man, elf, and dwarf alike tearing each other at the seams over-
Bilbo Baggins meets a wizard shortly after he finds a ring. He has always been told he has been too kind for his own good. Oh well. When one bites off more they can chew, it is often best to just swallow and be done with it.
An AU in which the Ring has a very different way of destroying the world and Bilbo Baggins is not having it. All these Alphas suddenly fawning over him can shove it, thank you. -

When a Hobbit Fauntling by the name of Bilba is unceremoniously dropped into his life, Frerin does everything he can to do right by his wee one.
