Honestly, there are a bunch of fanfics that give Doflamingo some kind of redemption but don't force the brothers to be close. I mean, the ideal thing is for them to go their separate ways and stay away from each other. For me, if there's one work in the KataCora fandom that does a REALLY good job of portraying the troubled relationship between these two, it's this one:

And yes, I know you said you couldn't read stories right now because you have a lot to do, and I haven't forgotten that detail. And yes, I posted a link to a series of fanfics and not just one, because this collection of fanfics creates a universe, it's like part 1, part 2, part 3, etc.
However, I don't think it's impossible for you to understand the feeling that is conveyed in this specific part (link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/61255180/chapters/156549229) because, for me, it's actually VERY well done (personally, I am unable to read that fanfic again because it really stirs up some of my deepest insecurities (even though I am someone who has read EVERYTHING (whether good or grotesque) out of curiosity and ignorance of not knowing what awaited me, but I never really come away with that feeling of “ok, this really affected me” as I did with this fanfic).
Oh! One more thing, if you are sensitive to content that indirectly mentions sexual abuse, don't read it. There is nothing graphic in that way, much less descriptions of such things, but if you are good at interpreting text, you simply understand what is happening. (And no, this isn't a "Doffy do something REALLY Fucked up with Rosi" Fic).
Thanks for the advice, I'll bookmark Ao3's email so I can take a look. Actually, I think this affection for Doffy's redemption was born precisely in the (few) fanfictions where his is treated as brothers (and not as a sick and abusive ship), perhaps because I like the idea that such an important relationship can be rebuilt.... Or maybe because it played on my dislike of Trebol... I don't know. Don't worry about the heavy subject matter, these are issues I've dealt with myself in my writing (albeit in a story from the Alice in Borderland fandom). Thanks for the advice. Anyway, part of it points strongly towards Doffy's redemption (coff coff and hopefully Trebol's coff coff, ahem).
Jejejeje I'm glad you appreciated the tip, and as for warnings, I always prefer to warn people because I don't want to be an insensitive jerk to others; it's enough that I'm like that to myself.
