Summary
Dick gritted his teeth as he slowly turned around, forcing his lips to overturn in a seemingly cocky grin as the wind whipped through his hair, making his eyes water with the intensity.
'Hey Commis.' he called out, moving one of his raised hands to cover his eyes from the glaring spotlight of the helicopter. 'Glad to see the GPD has improved it's resources.'
Gordon didn't reply, easing closer to him and pulling out a pair of shiny handcuffs from his coat. 'Don't make this any harder on yourself, Richard.'
'Oh I wouldn't dare.' Dick mocked, rolling his head and letting his smile drop. The railings on the edge of the roof dug into his back, reminding him of his way out but Dick stayed put, courtesy of the dozens of guns pointed at him. He darted his eyes back to Gorden, grinning at his clear exhaustion and disbelief.
'Richard Grayson, you are under arrest for several counts on first degree murder.' Gordon said clearly, now standing only a few inches away. 'Turn around and place your hands behind your head.'

He turned back to look upwards, at the sky and the peak of the mountains, the mood slightly soured but as Dick reached for him, Bruce decided it wasn't all that bad. He picked him up and pulled him over the table so that the boy could curl up in his lap instead of the wooden chair.
'Can we stay out here? I don't wanna miss the stars.' Dick asked and Bruce found himself nodding without even really thinking about it.
Because as it was.....Bruce was finding out more and more just how much he'd do to keep this precious child happy and safe.
