Summary
Lyarra Snow was known for
1) She was the one stain on Eddard Stark’s honor, as his bastard daughter
2) She had the Stark look, unlike most of her trueborn siblings
3) She had a soulmarkSoulmarks used to be common in the Four Nations until the Fire Nations attacked. With the Avatar's disappearance a century ago, fewer and fewer marks appeared. Within 50 years, new soulmarks were unheard of in the four nations. Until recently.
Katara and Sokka loved their soulmark. The Southern Water Tribe had been overjoyed to have a new mark for the first time in decades.
Suki hides her mark most days. She enjoys her mark, but not the questions that follow.Toph knew she had a mark. She can't see it, but she knows it's large. She just hopes her soulmates aren't as stifling as her parents.
Aang had loved his mark, even if it was still mostly smudged after 12 years. Gyatso told him not to worry so he didn't. He was not prepared to wake up in an iceberg with a completely detailed mark
Zuko had not seen his mark in 3 years. When his father had burned his face, he'd burned his whole arm. He never got to see it in complete detail, and he desired that almost as much as finding the avatar.

Summary
"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years later, a new Avatar, an airbender named Aang returns. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone."
Soulmates were once regularly and openly discussed, now they are less common and a topic only spoken in private settings. It's said that the Spirits tie souls together, to strengthen each other. The Old Gods are said to give soulmarks to those they give important tasks to.
Lyarra had never given much thought to what important task the Old Gods had supposedly given her until she met Zuko, a member of the Fire Nation royal family, and later Aang, the Avatar. They could not spell out her task any more than that.

Summary
Visenya Lyarra Targaryen, raised as Lyarra Snow, never thought she'd leave the North. For the first five and ten years of her life, she believed that her supposed Father would arrange a minor marriage for her. Despite being raised as his bastard, more than one lord had asked after her hand in marriage. At least, until Lyarra overheard him saying she could never leave Winterfell or Marry.
The decision to run away to Essos had been rash, but she did not regret it, not when it gave her the second most important being in her life.
After discovering her true parentage, she had no desire for the Iron Throne—Visenya wanted to live a simple life, perhaps with her new Aunt and Uncle. Robert Baratheon ruined that when he sent assassins after her. Visenya would not live her life in fear, worrying about an assassin's blade every time she closed her eyes. Robert Baratheon would not leave her alone; he'd made that clear when he continued after Viserys and Daenerys all their lives.
That left only one option. Visenya might not have desired the Iron Throne, but if the only way to stop the assassins was to become Queen, then Visenya would be Westeros' first ruling Queen. Visenya refused to die at the hands of Robert Baratheon.Series

Summary
Every time a new Targaryen is born, the gods toss the coin in the air, and the world holds its breath to see how it will land.
Lyarra Snow would argue her coin landed standing up. Oh, she was a monster to many people. Lyarra's hands were coated in blood before her eighth and tenth names' day. However, she'd argue she was not insane. She had no desire to take over Westeros and be its Queen. Far from it, the Iron Throne was a curse and a burden. Lyarra was far better off with her enterprise. She did not kill at random or for the fun of it; killing was a necessity of life, simply business. A business that everyone needed, but no one wanted to talk about.
Perhaps she could have used her knowledge for good. Be a healer, historian, something kinder. But the world taught Lyarra that no one would save or protect her. If no one would protect Lyarra, she'd protect herself. That the world would always judge someone by their names or appearances. If the world was going to judge her for her name, she'd given them a new one. Lyarra could have been different, but so too could the people around her. Lyarra was what the world made her.
