Summary

When some of the remaining denizens of a quickly emptying Hawkins begin exhibiting strange, violent and mindless behavior, it's up to the usual crew to find the source and put an end to the chaos. Of course, when the faces of their enemies are those of their friends, things quickly get a lot more complicated.

Summary
During preparations for the final battle against Vecna, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Hopper fall into a trance. Vecna traps them in his mind, in a world where he has changed their lives in drastic ways. It's up to Will, Max, Steve, and El to rescue them from this world so they can finally defeat Vecna. But first they have to convince their friends that the life they're living is fake, which is easier said than done. Especially since Vecna has meddled quite a lot in at least one of their friends' lives.
