Meryl's first job out of college was meant to be pretty straightforward. A few months of investigative journalism and time in the wastes No Man's Land were a surefire way to help her climb the communications ladder and claim a seat at a news desk. An article on the Humanoid Typhoon was the fastest way to her dream. What she didn't account for was having to run with a Stampede that shared a heart very similar to hers.

Also, Anna, Ray, and Norman are the trio in gracefield, except Norman doesn’t have romantic feelings for Anna like he did with Emma (In TPN) it was more like platonic relationship between the two. And Norman cares about Ray, also platonic! But of course there’s nothing wrong with shipping any of them:) but that’s just what’s in my story!

And then, he heard it. Growling. Snarling. Hissing. These sounds weren’t unusual here, but Vash didn’t recognize the tone of this creature’s voice. Its cadence was different from the forest-dweller’s. This was an outsider.
Vash proceeded cautiously. The closer to his cottage he got, the louder the sounds became. When he got to the clearing he called home, he saw the source of the noises.
A large, black wolf was writhing on the ground a few feet from his front door. Its right hind leg was stuck in what appeared to be a poacher’s trap and it was trying its best to crawl into the cottage. It looked to be in extreme pain.
