Summary
He couldn’t point to the exact moment when everything started to fall apart.
Maybe it was love that blinded him or the simple fact that she was his wife - the mother of his children. So when she hit him for the first time, it caught him completely off guard. She had never been a violent person. Not in the begginig at least.

Summary
Sunghyun “Robbie” Cho believed children should be seen and not heard, and an empty dinner table doesn’t make any more noise when it’s missing a mother, not just a father.
Well, she clearly hadn’t said anything when Dad chose his middle name, though the female Robertsons traditionally held that honor. Maybe it was a compromise. Robert just knows that it ended up being Sungho, which means something similar but not quite the same as Sunghyun.
His two last names was definitely a compromise, but he just writes Robertson on anything he needs to. Dad always thought preserving that legacy was more important than his own. Everyone agreed, except for his fourth grade teacher, who insisted on calling him by his “real name” even though she didn’t really pronounce it right. Not how Dad pronounced it.
But Dad said it special. Called his name like it really meant something. Like no one could have it. No one could take it away from him; only Robert could.
Dad never told Robert any of this because he was a Korean-American man of his generation, but Robert picked it up. Robert picked a lot of his shit up.
Robert Sungho Robertson-Cho is Mecha Man.

Summary
“Please let me out, dad.”
The tears dropping from his eyes were big and blurred his vision.
“I’m sorry…I’m sorry that I was born weak!”
He cried loudly and ugly, his cheeks burning from the friction of wet skin on metal.
“Dad!”, he screamed in misery, but no one was listening. No one was listening. He was alone.-

Summary
"Ah!" Straw Hat exclaims, bounding closer and clocking Marines on the way, his attention more on Law than the battle around them. "I got it! You remind me of my sister!"
"Your sister," Law repeats, more than a little baffled and wondering what level of blunt force might be necessary to induce trauma in a rubber skull.
"Yeah, Lami!" Straw Hat laughs, and Law freezes. "She's a seal!"
A name, three words, and Law's world shatters.
In which the Trafalgar family houses more than one secret, Law's list of tragedies starts a little earlier, and Lami gets very, very lost, but still manages to find her way home in the end.

Summary
Frank knows exactly what’s wrong; Robby must too. He’s been practicing medicine as long as Frank’s been alive, he knows abuse as well as he knows anything else in emergency medicine. And Frank won’t call it that, not really, but he thinks it on the quiet nights. He thinks it when his boss looks at him like that. He thinks it when part of him aches from being grabbed too hard, pushed, maneuvered. When he gets home late not only so she won’t yell, but so she’ll be asleep before she can suggest anything. He won’t touch her in bed just so she doesn’t wake, doesn’t reach for him. Doesn’t make him say no, not tonight. Please, Abs, I’m too tired, just to be cut off by a kiss. Hips straddling his. His consciousness retreating inside him so he won’t have to be present for his body betraying his fear of her.
But he’s not at home in his bed; he’s not looking Abby in her murky hazel eyes he used to love. Frank is waiting for a case to take up more space in his mind than the fear.
The cycle has been going on this long, he thinks it can go on a little longer still.
Frank knows what abuse looks like, but it's a lot easier to ignore when it's you. Robby helps.
