Summary
In a forgotten corner in the NYI there's a pile of what people usually would call junk. Just a stack of broken things, leftover of raids of Downworlders Homes during the Uprising. But for a 4 year old Alec, that is a treasure. And the more he cherishes it, the more the residual magic stored in these objects infuse, change and teach him. Letting him see the world in a different way, leading him into wanting to create a more just world for all, but also to having the biggest crush on a certain High Warlock.
But it all turns against Alec when, right in the middle of dealing with the redheaded menace that's havocking chaos in his life, he finally meets THE Magnus Bane, just for the man to hate him, and blame him for all the messes that keep popping up. It's not his fault that Magnus' Magic likes him, recognizing its own echoes deeply stored in him, making the man distrust him even more.

Two generations-post our favourite disaster characters (*cough* TMI *cough*), Marie Lightwood-Bane is dealing with all the usual teenager problems: family issues, friend drama, and struggling to stay awake at school.
Then she finds out about a secret her father has been keeping, and her world is turned on its head.
This can't be happening.
...can it?
