That finally makes Elphaba lift her gaze from her notes. She looks at Galinda like she’s said something incredibly weird. To Galinda’s defense, she hasn’t said anything that weird. It’s totally normal to ask a book enthusiast if they’d like to live in a book.
“Why?”
“For the… romance?”
“Haven’t thought about it,” Elphaba answers. “Might be interesting.”
“Interesting?”
“Sure.”

Elphaba scrunches her brow. “What words?”
“No, pleas–” Galinda looks like she might pass out, the hands over her mouth trying to push her jaw closed, but she evidently can’t stop talking. “I told everyone I wanted to kiss you even though I d–” Galinda stops and tries again. “I don’t w– Don’t want to–”
Elphaba’s knees are weak as she studies her roommate. Something has taken over Galinda, something magical, it must have. Galinda is gagging, trying to finish her sentence over and over again, but she fails, an expression between confusion, horror, and fury in her eyes.

Summary
As Mr. Finch and Mr. Dankworth began to extol the virtues of Taleggio between themselves, Colin leaned close to Francesca and asked in a soft voice, “You know that you may go if you are not enjoying yourself. I would not be insulted.”
Francesca smiled at him. “No, I find Mr. Dankworth and Mr. Finch to be very kind and ... entertaining hosts. And the cheese is quite nice. I just have a few things on my mind.”

“Gift giving.”
Francesca asks her older brothers for help finding a special gift, but is being a little dodgy about who it's for and why it's so important. Several Bridgertons come together to try to figure out the mystery.
