Soft tapping coming from Glinda's balcony door awoke her from her slumber. The sound was so soft and low Glinda wasn’t sure it was real until she heard, "Glinda, could you open the door? It is so cold out here," called out a familiar voice. Glinda pinched her cheek to check if she was actively dreaming this. “Please let me in… I'm so cold," called out the voice from the other side.
She pulled door wide open to see standing there was the face burned into all of her nightmares and dreams. This has to be some sort of strange waking dream. She isn't real; she just can't be real. “Well, are you going to invite me in?”

Summary
Galinda Upland and Elphaba Thropp technically work together—if you count different branches in entirely different parts of Oz as working together.
Until now, their paths had never crossed. But during the annual inter-branch fair, fate, bad timing, and a spectacular chain of unfortunate events shove them into the same booth, the same project… and, somehow, the same relationship.
Now they have to smile, nod, and convincingly act like they’re head-over-heels for each other in front of colleagues, clients, and the entire Emerald City corporate network. Which is fine.

Summary
When Elphaba receives a call to join the For Good Initiative, the world’s first team of superheroes and the pet project of the CEO of Upland Technologies, she joins for the million dollar pay check. Yes, it would be nice to show the rest of the world that superpowers aren’t something to be feared, but she's had decades to learn how cruel people can be. All that matters to her is protecting her younger sister and buying back her mother's apartment. As her year-long contract begins she has enough on her plate dealing with new teammates, public relations, the CEO's high expectations, and the team's training supervisor who promises to help Elphaba learn to control her powers. She certainly isn’t expecting to meet the CEO's daughter Galinda, who doesn’t have powers of her own and seems to hate Elphaba in particular but will still do anything to get on the team. As rivalry turns to friendship and then to something more, Elphaba comes to find out that Galinda is hiding secrets of her own, secrets that may unlock a decade old cold case and threaten the very foundations of the team itself.

What is certainly unusual is a phone call, from the Emerald City, informing Elphaba that a viral post on OzPage had identified her soulmate. Not just any soulmate, either. According to half the internet, the birthmark on her arm is the exact mirror image of the pattern adorning Glinda Arduenna Upland. Glinda the Good, Oz’s most beloved celebrity, singer, philanthropist, and personal favourite of the Wizard himself. Within days, Elphaba finds herself dragged from obscurity into the blinding lights of the Emerald City, contractually engaged to the most famous woman in the country… who seems to despise her on sight.

There was a knock on the door, three quick taps, oddly rhythmic and oddly late in the night.
“Were you expecting any visits?” Fiyero asks.
“Not at all,” Elphaba replies, already getting up from her chair and walking towards the door.
Another three knocks, same speed and rhythm as before, if not a little bit more insistent, just before Elphaba pulls the door open, hand extending forward, eyes hard, only to be met with a dark sky and the barely visible tree line, until she looks down, her eyes meet wide, bright, brown eyes.
“Hi!” Said the child, voice high pitched with excitement.
