Summary
In the distance, a forest is built anew. From the ground, tall trees burst through the soil and stretch toward an impossible sky. A tiger cub is born beneath a branch of one such tree and a dusk bird takes flight a distance away to a place unknown. Dew slips from a leaf and before it finds ground, Alhaitham knows where he must go. This dream has all the markings of his work.
Alhaitham secures his tether, turns, and ventures inward to the man at the center of the dream.
In a Sumeru where dreams are forbidden, Kaveh and Alhaitham stand at opposite ends of a timelessly enduring encounter.
