“Happy with what?” Hyunjin asked, sharper than he meant to.Chan just gave him a long look, the kind that weighed more than words. “The separation. Management’s rule. He thinks you agreed because you wanted it too.”
The words landed like a punch. Hyunjin’s mouth opened, then closed again.
Chan clapped a hand to his shoulder, squeezing once before walking away, as if he hadn’t just ripped Hyunjin’s world out from under him. “Might want to think about clearing that up.”
