Summary
Thomas was kind of shocked to say the least, not having expected someone to just show up out of nowhere. He pulled his feet closer to himself as he watched the guy let out a long sigh, leaning back against the chair with his eyes closed. Thomas found himself unable to look away from him, and not just because of the sudden intrusion; the guy – whoever he was – was really attractive.
His cheeks were flushed red from the cold, his long, blonde hair poking out from underneath a bright green beanie, long eyelashes creating a shadow across his cheeks. Thomas hadn't intended to stare at him, but he knew he must have been when the guy opened his eyes, frowning when he saw Thomas watching him.
In his defence, the guy was pretty distracting.Series

Summary
The bowl wasn't out there for any particular reason. Once Gally had finished carving it, he had sat it on the front step of his hut, just to be out of his way while he worked on some more. His aim was to make a full set and wax them all so that the settlement had some more cohesive crockery than just the bits and pieces that had been scavenged before the trip over to the island. Admittedly, not a high priority, but Gally was enjoying focussing on something that wasn't life or death, for once.
He never expected to find anything in it.

Gally huffed through his nose. "He's been there three weeks and everyone already loves him. He hasn't even been doing it for that long!"
With a confused little frown, Chuck asked, "So... you're mad that he's good at it?"
When Thomas joins the community woodcarving group, Gally immediately cannot stand him.

Summary
Each word, each insult, stokes the flames of Thomas’s anger until it hisses and rises and threatens to overwhelm him.
But maybe that was Gally’s plan all along. Push Thomas in a way no one else dared to, entice him into a fight. Make him do something about all his feelings.
Wait until he snaps.
Or Thomas and Gally think they hate each other and don’t quite know how to deal with the trauma in a healthy way. Lots of hatefucking ensues
