Summary
After the fight with Vecna in 1986, Eddie couldn't bear the thought of staying in Hawkins. So he left. He didn’t tell anyone, just quietly disappeared one day.
Nine years later, despite all odds, he finds himself back in his hometown, now pushing thirty and desperate for a sense of direction.
Steve Harrington on the other hand, loved Hawkins more than anything. He loved the ease and familiarity of it, he loved his job coaching for the middle school, and he loved raising his two daughters in the place he grew up.
And whether it’s happenstance or kismet, Eddie finds his life becoming increasingly tangled with that of Steve Harrington’s. And to his own surprise, he doesn’t have much to complain about.
