“What baby?” he scoffed, looking around as if she might be joking.
“Your baby,” she said, voice tight, uneasy. “You’re pregnant.”

You’re pregnant.The words echoed inside his skull until they drowned out everything else. He couldn’t breathe. A strangled laugh slipped out—or maybe it was a wheeze; he couldn’t tell the difference anymore.
“I’m not pregnant,” he snapped, anger bubbling up to the surface, bitter and hot. He could feel his own anger sitting on the tip of his tongue ready to spit the venom that had been burning him from the insides, it tasted like the same fury that had been eating him alive ever since he’d learned he couldn’t get pregnant.
OR Pregnancy was a tricky thing. It was trickier when you didn’t know you were pregnant and got held hostage. It was the trickiest when your captors find out before you.

Summary
Maddie and Chris are waiting at Buck’s house when they get back. Buck’s glad, because he’s pretty sure Maddie is keeping it together for Chris and Chris is keeping it together for Maddie and Eddie and Buck’s doing his level best to keep it together for all of them, even though he kind of wants to just get into the shower and have a panic attack. He manages to hold it off through the hugs, through the extremely sanitized story for Maddie and Chris, through Eddie telling Chris to go to bed and Buck assuring Eddie he’s fine, he’s just going to go pass out.

9x08 Coda - Maybe Eddie isn't so chill and cool all the time after all. Maybe he's obsessive. Maybe he's the one who makes everything about Buck and not the other way around.

Eddie stares back at Ravi, speechless.
Then, he says, "I...well...there's a reason I'm not Captain."
Ravi shrugs, turning towards the locker room.
"I just think it's interesting that you would fire your new work best friend, but you wouldn't be able to fire your old life best friend."
