    When Netherfield Park is let by Mr Steven Rogers, Sam Wilson is delighted for his cousin Peggy Carter (though not nearly as delighted as her mother). What Sam is less excited about is his friend Mr James Buchanan Barnes, who is a proud, unpleasant fellow with a staring problem.

    It seems like their paths are fated to cross over and over again, which Sam could ignore if the surly man were not so argumentative (and handsome).

    After returning to Erid, Rocky is celebrated as a planetary hero. Ryland, rescued and physically depleted, is placed under Eridian medical care to treat severe malnourishment and vitamin deficiencies. His recovery was slow but consistent, mirroring his gradual emotional stabilization. Rocky’s former mate, Adrian, has chosen a new mate during Rocky’s absence. For pragmatic reasons Rocky and Ryland move in together. Ryland starts to teach and Rocky is a highly sought after Earth expert and space engineer. Slowly Eridian society interprets their life together as mating behavior. Rumors start.
