The newest Hashira was an oddity and a mystery. Only a few years older than Muichiro, but seemingly so much more a child. Loud and displeasing to the ear, crying and wailing constantly, Giyuu didn’t understand how a coward such as Agatsuma Zenitsu could have ever reached a rank such as theirs, particularly without even so much as a shred of evidence regarding his skill.
It was one of the very few things he and the other Hashira distinctly agreed upon. The boy did not belong. He was unfit to be a slayer, a protector. The boy was a liability, and now, every day he would disappear, up into the mountains of the prefecture they were in, in the middle of winter with Demons supposedly about.

Very silly, I like this modern take on this, also I can understand zen avoiding tanjiro a bit, I too avoid people I haven’t seen in years, not because I have a crush on them but because I’m pretty sure I’d make myself look dumb by not remembering anything about them
