    Dagur scares most of the people in his tribe. Which suits him just fine. Most people either wanted to replace him or use him to get ahead, and he knows this well even at the prime age of 10. So Hiccup is a breath of fresh air.
    Hiccup knows people on Berk would rather that he not exist. He tries to make himself disappear as much as possible. So Dagur’s arrival while Hiccup is seven is the chance to have someone actually want to see him.
    What if their relationship had been friendlier?

    Thick armor made of glistering scales covered a slim, muscular body. Gloved fingers itched toward a holster which held a sharp sword. A helmet made to fit the rest of the armor covered a head. The only gaps in the whole outfit were the slits at his eyes, and a pair of green ones shone bright from behind them. He looked like a mix between a soldier and a dragon, and Stoick found himself swallowing thickly, his own fingers itching toward his ax.

    After being disowned by his father, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III fled Berk and was never seen again. When the infamous dragon rider called 'The Champion' suddenly gets onto Berk's radar quite a few months later, things change.

    Years ago, Hiccup ran away from Berk taking the Arena Dragons with him. In the time since he's left, he's mostly forgotten what it is means to be around humans. His default language becomes dragonese after spending so much time with the dragons. He's even picked up a pack of sorts from the dragons after finding out he can shapeshift into a wolf. His only interaction with humans is rescuing dragons from the Hunters. As his reputation as a dragon thief grows, so does his infamy. Some Vikings call him a Spirit, others the Ghost of the Isles but no one realizes how young he is. Until one night, Viggo and his hunters get lucky.
