“I think getting through to this one will take patience, Sanemi, but you must be persistent. I need you to try again and again until this child can see the world for what it is—a beautiful place worth living in.”
Dread twists uncomfortably in his gut. Is he talking about the Tokito kid? He does seem depressed—or, well, he did. He’s been differently lately. Lighter. The dull look in his eyes seems to have lifted. So, probably not him.
“Understood, Oyakata-sama,” he says. “I will be patient, and I will be persistent.”
“I know you will, Sanemi. You have a kind heart.”
Well, Sanemi wouldn’t go that far, but sure.
“Please, Sanemi, vow to me that you will never stop trying with this one. Even if I am no longer here to see it.”
The words hit Sanemi hard, and he swallows. “I swear it, Oyakata-sama.”
The master seems to sink in relief.
“It is Giyuu,” the master says softly, and Sanemi stiffens in shock. “He is the one I worry for. He has lost his will to live.”
OR:
What if, instead of Tanjiro, Sanemi was the one to check on Giyuu?

Sanji took a step back, eyes wide and uncomfortable. There were so many smells and scents coming out of nowhere that it was making him dizzy. What even was it? Why was his sense of smell so heightened all of a sudden? Was everyone else feeling this way, too?
“Oh dear, it seems that the magic of our island has already affected you, and you have an omega among your group. How blessed you are.”
The crew lands on an island that changes everyone that steps foot into an alpha, beta, or omega. And now, suddenly, the whole island seems to be very interested in the omega among them, espcially the male alphas.

Summary
Omegaverse fic combined with the soulmate au.
At a young age one is able to smell the pheromones of their fated mate, and if they listen close enough they can hear the sounds of that persons soul.Shinazugawa Sanemi hated the sea and everything that came with it, the smell of the ocean was too much for him to handle and so he tried to block it out with the scent of flowers. But the sea swallows all and as the florals wilt he will need to come to terms with a truth he’d rather die than admit to.
Tomioka loved the scent of pine, the forests in which he trained with the boy made out of light were the best days of his life. When that light was lost he believed he would never smell that scent the same again, imagine his shock when the new hashira held the exact same scent as that boy.
Now the grieving tomioka must make a choice, does he let the alpha of the past go and embrace the new? Or will he be stuck in that sorrow forever.Will the two put aside their respective issues and finally accept the truth that had been fated from the very start?
