Hermione doesn’t think it’s quite fair that he’s in Azkaban. Yes he was a deatheater, but he was a child solider. Weren’t they all? When the opportunity comes to possibly reduce his sentence, she tries all she can. But it’s a two way system and Draco was never the most compliant.
