    When Rose asked Eddie to leave the Titans Tower with her, he wasn't expecting they'd head to Gotham City. Being unable to help much with her nightly activities, Eddie got a job at a coffee shop. Weird as Gotham was, he wasn't expecting anything really weird to happen. Weird being his dead childhood friend walking in. His dead childhood friend who doesn't even recognize him.
    Jason was buying coffee, that was all, over-priced, bad tasting coffee because his brother insisted they needed it to carry on with a stakeout. What the hell is Eddie doing in Gotham?

    Years ago, Dick gave his little brother a phone number and told him to call if he ever needed help or advice, and that Dick would always do his best to come through. Then that little brother died and Dick was left wondering if it had been enough to make a difference. Now, a year after the he turned Gotham and Dick's family upside down, Red Hood abruptly shows up looking for help with his love life of all things from the most stable person he knows. Dick's not particularly stable, but nothing he says could be worse than whoever else Jason is taking his advice from, right? Dick doesn't want to think of Hood as the little brother he lost, but it doesn't take very long for the lines to blur.

    Danny just wanted a grilled cheese. That was it. He did not want to accidentally kill the Joker. He did not want to be on Batman’s radar. And he definitely did not want Red Hood to kiss him, cry on him, and then propose all within the span of ten minutes.

    But here he is. In Gotham. Standing over Joker’s corpse. With a very emotionally compromised vigilante looking at him like he just hung the damn stars.

    Danny is so, so tired.
