There’s nothing.
You don’t know how much time passes, or if time even means anything anymore. Are you dead? Did you succeed? You swear you remember Lord English being defeated, but everything quite literally goes blank after that. Maybe everything was destroyed. The thought of dying a hero doesn’t appeal to you as much as you thought it would. You remember Terezi saying that she’ll miss you, and you feel a pang of regret. You told her you would come back, even though you knew there was a strong possibility that you wouldn’t.

Summary
It is a well-known fact that demons don’t retain their human memories, except under extraordinary circumstances. Humans, too, don’t retain many memories they have of being a demon—a fact Kamado Nezuko copes with as she meets Tomioka Giyuu for the first time.
But like many things in her newly human life, she can’t really untangle how she’s meeting a man for the first time when he’s already saved her multiple times. And he’s just one of the scraps of memory that she is trying to weave together to make back up a life that is a coherent whole.

“You never cease to surprise me Giyuu,” she mused, trailing her fingers down his arm and into his open palm. “Sometimes I think I have you figured out, but then I turn a page and there is more. Was everything always there underneath this inscrutable face of yours?” she asked, placing her hand on his cheek.
He turned to kiss her palm, exhaling warm breath, taking a moment to think about it.
“No,” he said, the word caught in her hand, before he turned to her with a searching look. “And yes. I built up walls trying to control my grief and my guilt. After a while, I just couldn’t access pieces of myself.”
“Hmm,” she murmured, smoothing his hair away from his face. “What brought down your walls?”
He leaned slightly into her touch but looked away over her shoulder before he answered.
“Tanjirou. And Nezuko. When I found them in the forest on the day she was turned into a demon. They were the beginning.”Series

Summary
Lance McClain prides himself on being a good friend who is always ready and willing to drop everything to help any of the people in the little ragtag Voltron family. Just because he's living on the family farm in Cuba doesn't mean that he's distanced himself from the people he cares about, and he likes to think of his new house as a kind of safe haven for the other Paladins.
So, when Keith arrives for a visit with two unexpected tag-alongs and some brand new emotional baggage, Lance steps up to be the friend that Keith deserves.
