Jobs don't always go to plan and if things get too bad (or if enforcers get involved), then Vi would distract whoever was after them, so the kids could escape. Despite knowing this, Vander still worried.

"I'm Cheif James. This call is regarding the missing prince case." No sooner had the words left his mouth, did he hear what sounded like someone dorping the phone.
After what seemed to him to be the person on the line fumbling with the phone for a moment, the reply came in a hurry. "I'll put you right through, sir."
