Dottore draws from his pocket an object, sizzling with energy. Tiny ribbons of electricity snake around its amethyst core.
“Your Delusion,” he says. “Which you told me to bring you at your earliest convenience.”
He smiles. Maddening, infuriating.
The very worst part about it, Pantalone thinks, is that he is right.
He hates it when Dottore is right.
The Regrator’s office closes at eight. No exceptions allowed.
There is only one person in the whole wide world stupid enough to break this rule.

The low temperature in the room also made it difficult for him to sleep. You must know that Hua Cheng adored sleeping only wearing his boxers and feeling the warmth graze his skin, but oh, Xie Lian had so sweetly asked him to lower the temperature, saying that he couldn’t sleep otherwise.

Summary
Kaveh and Alhaitham discover some explicit fanfiction - accompanied by 'Bunveh' art - about the two of them. In true scholarly fashion, they provide full-scale literary and artistic critiques of the work... after establishing a solid real-life reference for accuracy, of course.
Lips parted into a frozen 'O' and mouth suddenly very dry, Kaveh released Alhaitham’s wrist and snatched the paper to read it more closely.
Each line was filthier than the last.
“... Oh,” Kaveh eventually croaked, skimming the page and staring blankly at the messy handwriting.
Alhaitham was glaring at the ceiling, arms crossed over his chest - though he hadn’t shoved Kaveh off of his lap as he would’ve expected him to by now. “Yeah. Oh.”
“Their grammar is atrocious,” Kaveh breathed, unable to think of anything else to say.

When Kaveh was still a student, there was barely any time to think about romance, though. He noticed it alright, but always in relation to others, always too busy himself to even spare it any thought. "I’m dedicating myself to my studies", he would say to the nice aunties at the food stalls whenever they decided that he was a good enough candidate for their daughters and started to coax him into agreeing to a date. Then, "there is no time for looking for a partner when I have to make a name for myself", he would find himself answering whoever brought up the topic after his successful graduation.

Or: Kaveh has always been too busy to spare romance much thought. After some time living with Alhaitham, though, he finds himself just free enough to finally consider the matter, and what he finds is that he might not really want it as much as the whole world seems to want it. The thing is, though, he is also not necessarily against it, and when he and his roommate start to get closer, he finds that some aspects of it are... nice. It takes a bit more soft coaxing, until Megumi finally peeks over the covers. His eyes are red-rimmed, and the tip of his nose glows pink in the moonlight.
Gojo’s heart stammers. Megumi had been crying. The emotionless, bratty kid that had stubbornly squeezed past the iron defences of Gojo’s heart, has been in pain and is crying.
“Megumi,” Gojo says softly, at a loss for words.
At this time of the night, in this mood, with sleep dragging the vowels of his words into something quiet and raspy, Gojo can’t find the energy to joke. Instead, he leans in, hands ready to scoop the little boy up and hide him from the rest of the world. Then, he stops. Megumi probably wouldn’t appreciate that.
The first words that come out of Megumi’s mouth are unexpected. “I’m a bad person.”
