Summary
Entering the enormous building’s ballroom is the best way to see most of the guests in one go, as they have the high ground coming down the stairs. All eyes are on the two of them, while Dazai and Kunikida calmly and discreetly scan the large room for any evident tells as to who could be the thief.
No one immediately stands out to Dazai – except for a familiar, short ginger wearing an ugly hat. While Kunikida leads the brunette into the ballroom with an arm around his waist, Chuuya and Dazai’s eyes lock for a long moment.
Chuuya’s vibrant blue eyes widen in stunned shock before he schools his expression back to calmness. Thankfully, he stays put, much to Dazai’s relief. As much as he’d love to bother Chibi, he does have a mission he needs to not blow his cover on.
However, his appearance means this so-called “charity dinner” and ball has ties to the Port Mafia somehow.
OR
After an ADA mission goes horribly wrong (think assassination attempts wrong), Dazai ends up in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down.

The ginger stared at his phone like it had personally offended him.

That was it. No explanation, no warning, just a vague message that explained his current anger. Gone. The model had vanished into thin air—twenty minutes before the shoot.
"Chuuya." Kouyou called out, putting on a calm behavior. "We can reschedule."
"No." He said almost immediately. Too fast. Too sharp.
Then—
"I might know someone."
Chuuya exhaled sharply, already overwhelmed by the situation. "Well, they better not waste my time."
Kouyou smiled. "I assure you, they won't. They're already here."
Chuuya groaned, confusion replacing the anger on his face. "Wait—they are? Who is it? Bring them in, now."
A few minutes later, the door opened with a soft click. Footsteps echoed through the room as Kouyou stepped in, followed by the last-minute replacement.
Chuuya didn't even bother to look up from his phone.
Until—
"Wow... Not even a hello? How rude."
