    Shouto asked quietly, gesturing over at the massive stack of papers in front of Iida as he took another sip of what Tenya had now identified as hot chocolate, due to the very distinct smell. Tenya wasn't really surprised by the question. They often spent time together, finding moments and excuses to keep each other close. And this wasn't the first nor last time Shouto would ask to stay in the common room while Iida did school work.

    "I would be happy if you'd keep me company."

     
    Or: After the war Todoroki and Iida naturally become a lot closer. With the shared trauma and experiences they've gone through, neither of them have ever questioned helping with the aftermath.
