The mention of Chan breaks the metaphorical dam of their tears. His heart lurches out of his chest at their remorseful cries and clearly upset body language. He knows the two pups in front of him hate feeling as though they disappointed Chan more than anyone else in their pack. As head alpha, his approval means far more to them.
He feels as though he can take his responsible disciplinarian cap off and replace it with his doting, affectionate one. "Alright, babies, I'm done scolding you. Come to hyung."
seonghwa is needed to be the disciplinarian while chan and hongjoong are away.

“Predator-prey relationships never work,” Minho bites back, exasperation lacing his words. “We’d be doomed.”
Chan’s eyes snap open at the implication. Minho hadn’t denied it, merely pointed out why it couldn’t work. For the first time in a decade… Minho didn’t deny that he wanted Chan. “Doomed? Says who?”
Minho squawks over the phone, a sound Chan recognizes as one of frustration. “Says who? All of polite society, that’s who!”
