    Avid took in the old air of Oakhurst, it was uncanny how familiar the feeling felt despite it being the first time his body ever stepped foot in the town.

    He looked at his side. Elle was there with her face serious and prepared, her hands close to the silver sword inside a scabbard that was strapped to her waist. It probably wasn't best to bring a silver sword to Oakhurst, especially when there are two vampires in town who are easily threatened with one of them being extremely angry towards humans.

    Not like Avid is technically human, he is, but not for long. Either by the scar on his neck or being saved by vampirism once again.

    It isn't like Avid could argue that she shouldn't bring it. Because, first, it would be incredibly stupid of her to not to bring weapons — his own crossbow would be questioned. And second, she would be suspicious of him on why he even suggested to not bring one of their main protections, especially when he still hasn't brought up the issue of said creatures in Oakhurst being vampires...

    Or, Avid wakes up. Months before everything came burning and crashing down. Everything changes, everything stays the same.

    Avid was not happy. Quite the opposite, but in the way that pure untampered anxiety clutched at the fibers of his very being. He was terrified. And as he should be, standing on the other side of the bridge that led to the Goldsmith manor. This was quite possibly the worst thing to happen to him, right alongside the scratch that was burning his neck at that very moment. Fear had its claws wrapped around Avid and he had no way out.

    The “Agreement” was a set of terms alongside the manor of vampires and the townsfolk of Oakhurst. The Goldsmith Coven protected the valley and didn’t kill but in exchange humans got sent to the manor to work. Everyone knew that entailed being drank from even though it was not stated.

    Curse Avid’s never ending bad luck as he had drawn the short straw. Living in Oakhurst as a sick man was bad enough, being sent to what was essentially the slaughter…

    Timothy Drake, as of right now, is living three lives: that of the highschooler, that of the vigilante, and (slightly more pressing), that of the changeling, working to free Gunmar from the darklands, set off the Endless Night, and subsequently kick off the end of the world as we know it.
    Here's the kicker, however - Tim doesn't actually want the world to end. No, he quite likes it as it is, with its energy drinks, and its older-brother-figures, and its photography, and its Steph. Ideally, things can continue on as they have: Tim feeds information to the Janus order, so they don’t hunt him for sport, and the Killahead bridge is never completed and Gunmar never escapes – everyone’s happy and Tim’s not exposed or dead. Yay!
    Of course, things are never that easy.

    Or: Trolhunters in Gotham AU that nobody asked for, with Tim as a changeling and Trollhunters taking place in Gotham City rather than Arcadia Oaks. Because I can.

    Newlyweds Jack and Janet Drake made a deal for money and prosperity. Neither thought much of it afterwards, even after their son was born.

    Tim Drake was tired from a heavy night of patrol, all he wanted was a hot shower and some sleep. Sadly, he got neither as a portal opened right in his Nest. Chained and enslaved he followed the demon right back through the portal.

    Was it lucky that when placed for auction, the High King bought him? Or would his new Master be worse than the demon?

    Meanwhile, his family back in Gotham are freaking out and poor John Constantine is left having to try and find their wayward bird.
