Summary
Something soft but aching panged in his heart as he looked at these little ones, and wondered how many of them were siblings. How many of them shared parents in some way or another. How much did they resemble their parents, he wondered. Would Rocky and Adrian's kids resemble either of them? He hoped so. Adrian's green, Rocky's carapace. Their passion for science, their curiosity and kindness. Their love for each other, and him. He wouldn't get to see them grow up. Eridians lived for so long, and humans… didn't. They wouldn't even be in their teens when he died.
AKA the one where Dr. Ryland Grace gets baby fever, and his mates are more than happy to accommodate.

Ryland Grace was supposed to spend the rest of his life on Erid, teaching science to a class full of mini-Rockys. Instead, I’m standing in a middle school hallway in San Francisco. This has to be a lucid dream... or a hallucination... or my brain is finally leaking out of my ears. The third option. It has to be the third option.
