Hawks knows this intimately. He was made painstakingly; pieced together over blood and pain and skill assessments that he passed to be where he is now. He was not made in a vacuum, as much as the HPSC would like to believe.
There was influence beyond their grasp, beyond their singular all encompassing control.
Now he just has to decide how much that is worth.Touya was born wrong and right. Wrong as in not enough for his father and wrong as in too much like him.
Right as in the oldest and the smartest and the best of the siblings.
Right as in something ancient that curls up in his chest like a cat next to a hearth. Something that tells him to keep, and to hold and to protect.There will be no upload schedule I can promise to adhere to.

Summary
His point was that he would willingly and without a second of hesitation trade his life for theirs. They had made his life worth living in the first place: without them it would go back to the way it had been before he knew what friendship and love and unconditional kindness from his peers felt like. Sometimes he was thankful for the stark contrast because it meant that he was able to properly see how much they did for him without getting complacent or taking their affection for granted.
He would trade his life for his friends.
Without a second of hesitation.

My interpretation on what could have happened after Izuku leaves that hospital to go rogue. of going away, staying alive and coming back to face the consequences of your actions.

When she finally came in, it was a clear and sunny day. Nothing at all like someone would expect. Blonde hair, smile lines all around her eyes. She seemed almost afraid of being here. Worried about what could happen to herself. Aizawa introduced her with a long-winded speech that he clearly hadn’t written out himself. Something about how every hero was required to meet up with her before acquiring their permanent license to guarantee they wouldn’t be a liability on the field should they be confronted with their fears. All in all sound logic, if a little strange considering what their class had already gone through in their by now almost complete high school careers. Katsuki didn’t even catch her name before he drifted off. He only came back to the class discussion once one of the extras asked a question. “So what your saying is that her quirk will let her manifest our greatest fear or regret, so we have to physically confront them?”

Summary
Dabi is in the strange position of hiding from his past by being really, ridiculously obvious to everyone from his past on national TV. With the League bar a smoking ruin, he jumps straight from The Bachelorette into Bachelor In Paradise with the hope that the program’s “secret” location and army of bodyguards will keep him from being kidnapped a second time… or. Well. A third time, really. He just needs to play it cool, but that’s hard when Hawks has followed him to Paradise too, and Dabi can’t seem to concentrate on any of the other contestants.
Hawks is in the strange position of playing secret bodyguard for the man he’s fallen for, because the only other informants for the HPSC’s darkest secrets have either disappeared or been killed. This piles more angst on top of his already-confusing crush. Is he even allowed to have a crush? Emotions are hard. Hawks is suffering.
Meanwhile Natsuo is horrified but vindicated when he learns that the details of his brother’s death were forged; half of the U.A. staff is on the hunt for Oboro Shirakumo, who called into a radio show despite being dead for over ten years; and the League may not be villains, but they don’t take an insult laying down.

Summary
Dabi had always planned to die fighting his father. He hadn't planned on falling in love with Hawks. He hadn't planned on having his heart broken. He hadn't planned on burning his pretty bird's wings.
He certainly hadn't planned on having a Phoenix quirk he didn't know about.
On a cool May afternoon, Dabi burns himself to death, and Touya wakes up in the ashes with no memory of who he is. He doesn't remember anything before waking up in the arms of a pretty bird with red wings, with only vague feelings and a longing for a life he doesn't remember.

"Oh?" Dabi taunts in that flashfire voice of his; and Hawks is reminded, yet again, how easily he burns. "Tell me, what poor little bastard's gonna be riding your ugly-ass coattails for the next few months?"
Hawks frowns, realizing he's just set up a question he actually has to answer. Dabi will find out anyway, won't he? If there's one thing Hawks has learned, it's that Dabi has his ways. Hawks can never hide anything from him, no matter how hard he tries, a fact that will someday spell his undoing –– but there's no way around it now.
Willing his fight-or-flight instinct into silence, Hawks reminds his sharpened feathers he's not here for either. It'll be fine. The worst part of removing a bandaid is the dread before you rip it off. Right?
So Hawks braces himself, and answers:
"Todoroki Shouto."

Hawks' doomed flight towards the sun is thrown off-course when he receives a surprise request from Endeavor's son, asking to be his work-study student. It starts with ramen.
The Commission pairs Hawks with a specialist for a trafficking op. Her name is Kazuki Mikazuki. Her quirk is aerokinesis — wind sense, flight, the ability to make herself and others invisible. She's a rescue specialist. She chose the ugly work on purpose.
This is a story about two people who know what cages feel like, working cases that matter, and spending a lot of time in the same airspace. What grows between them does so the way most real things do — slowly, without announcement, in the space between one conversation and the next.
Hawks has a performance for every situation. Kazuki has exactly no interest in it.
It takes a while from there.
