BOOM!!
There was a loud, earthshaking sound that made George’s eardrums feel like they were going to explode. He was pushed forward and he landed headfirst into the pond.
His head hit something rough under the water. A stinging pain started on his forehead. Ow.
George must have blacked out for a moment before he sat up, coughing and sputtering. His head hurt and his ears were ringing quite harshly. The world looked like a fuzzy mess.
When George finally managed to focus, he saw Fred and Percy next to him looking just as lost as him. He groaned and held his head. Something sticky was dripping from his forehead. He didn’t take the time to process it though as he caught a glimpse of the house.
The Burrow was in flames.

Summary
During their explorations of Minas Tirith after Aragorn's coronation, Merry and Pippin accidentally disturb a long forgotten magic...and end up back in the Shire during the winter of 1332 (by Shire Reckoning) as children, but still with all their memories. They are rescued by Bilbo who takes them in and raises them for the next few years, up until the fine sunny morning when Gandalf appears in the Shire looking for a hobbit to join an adventure.
Merry and Pippin join the quest to reclaim Erebor, determined to change history for the better, but they don't know that Bilbo didn't tell them the whole story about his great adventure.

Summary
Frodo went to bed in Tirion and woke up in Bag-End some 110 years in the past. And as if this wasn't enough he did so in Bilbo's body. It all seemed like a quite ridiculous dream until he realized that, in fact, it wasn't. Frodo adapted. And then one day, Gandalf came along to send him on an adventure to reclaim the home of one Thorin Oakenshield. From then on things really started to go down the drain.
