Katsuki saw Shoto pause, his hand drifting up toward the comms piece in his ear. Izuku noticed, too, and went quiet, gently rolling the ball to Taiyo to keep her occupied.
“Shoto responding, ETA three minutes.”
He glanced to Katsuki, and Katsuki stood up. “Gotta go?”
“Gotta go.”
“How’s the knee?”
“Feels good.”
“Home in one piece for dinner.”
“Always.” Shoto kissed Katsuki, gave Taiyo one last ear ruffle, and waved to Izuku as he ran out the door.
Katsuki Bakugo has worn a ticking time bomb on his right arm since the War. It goes out in the only way possible - in the middle of battle, in a bloody blaze of glory. He wakes up with icy fingers in his remaining hand: Shoto Todoroki, the Number Two Hero, the man he married, and the one who'd snatched his falling carcass out of the sky.
In the aftermath, Katsuki works to navigate a new missing limb. Shoto's a perfect support. But the ties of their relationship fray under the strain, and both their careers are on the line. Will they figure out how to talk to each other again, or did Katsuki's right arm blow up their future, too?
This can be read as a standalone work!

Summary
It takes Shouto a moment to register that he’s not in his own bed, and he’s not alone.
“I can hear you thinking.” Katsuki’s voice comes out in a grumble against his neck. His arm is over Shouto’s stomach, his body a hot line against his back. “Between you’n Zuku, I swear.”
“You chose this.” Izuku responds where he’s curled up against Shouto’s chest, his head tucked under the bigger man’s chin. “Mm.” Those lips suddenly find his throat, Midoriya pressing a few quick kisses across his skin, trailing down to Shouto’s collar. Then he tucks his face into his sternum, between his pecs. Nuzzles there. “A few more minutes.”
Shouto’s heart feels like it’s about to burst.
