“Fiyero, darling,” Galinda hums primly, giving an arch look as she emphasizes the term of endearment like a curse, “are you harassing my poor, sweet Elphie?”
“He's behaving,” she manages to muddle out, though she can't quite stop staring at Galinda’s lips, “As much as Yero ever does, anyway.”
Fiyero pulls her closer, arm around Elphaba's shoulders. He just has to be difficult. Elphaba can’t manage to bring her eyes away from Galinda’s lips to examine his expression, but she can hear the amused, shit-eating grin on his lips. “Afraid of a little competition, Galinda, darling?”

Fiyero thinks Elphie needs to relax, so like a good friend, he sets off Galinda's possessive streak to ensure she'll get thoroughly laid. Because, really, isn't that what friends are for? Meddling in their lesbian ex's relationships?
