    His heart raced thinking of the possibilities. It was common knowledge to not run toward a scream out in the middle of the night if you didn’t want to die, but Gabe wanted to die. He didn’t want to because he felt hopelessly suicidal, but instead optimistic in a sick way that dying at a vampire’s hands would be the most beautifully tragic way to end his mediocre life. Especially if there was the possibility it was William fucking Beckett.

    Gabe Saporta is a huge fan of vampires, so much so he has a Tumblr blog dedicated to the infamous William Beckett and the other vampires that roam Chicago. He would be happy to just be killed by one.

    Then William Beckett falls in love with him, and Gabe will do anything for him, no matter how morally questionable.

    "Being friends with Frank had its upsides, sometimes. Don't get him wrong, Gabe loved Frank and appreciated his friendship. But he was a weird dude who had the habit of putting his friends in the worst situations. Like that time, he took him to a "cool" festival that turned out to be a demon cult, they were almost used as human sacrifice. Or the time he bought a "cool" music box as a housewarming gift for him, Ryland and Nate, that turned out to be haunted. Nate had to call four ghost hunters until their apartment was free of hauntings.
    But sometimes Frank could get you in nice situations like tonight. Frank had been working at a vampire graveyard for the last two years. The owners were an old family of vampires, the Ways. Frank was super close to them, especially to the twins, Gerard and Mikey. Gabe was convinced Frank wanted to fuck Gerard. But he wasn't complaining since it made him get invited to a vampire ball! "

    Vampire senses alert William to lurking threats, to conversations metres and metres away, allow him to sniff out blood from a mile. Vampire senses are a blessing. Mostly.

    But sometimes they're a curse. Noises are louder, painful even. Sensations creep up his skin. And sometimes it all just becomes too much.

    Moments of weakness creep up on everyone, even powerful vampires with hundreds under their command. As much as William would like to deny it, Gabe helps.
