Still, it catches Yoongi’s attention for the genre is all wrong. By this time in the night, Jimin lowered the volume and played classical music or instrumentals so sharp they oozed sentiment. No lyrics, no speed, nothing experimental or mainstream. Just dramatic build and release until his guests groaned in annoyance and left or passed out on the floor, too out of it to protest. And so, until Jimin himself succumbed to alcohol induced sleep, and as Yoongi worked through the darkness, they both would listen to piano notes, tearing the quiet and peace in desperation. Yoongi doesn’t understand it. It should annoy him as much as the club beats that precede this hour of calm. But it often feels like raw honesty, different from the polite bows in the hall when, on rare occasions, Yoongi bumps into the boy during the day.
Or Jimin's taste in music is questionable, and Yoongi is prone to prejudices, not that anyone can blame him when he can't catch a good night's sleep with all of the trouble his neighbour brings to his door.

When Jungkook digs into his pocket, pulling out the velvet box battered and bruised from the car crash, Jimin’s grip falls limp.
“No.” He shakes his head, refusing to believe Jihyun would be this cruel. “Jungkook-ah. This is not time for jokes. Jihyun wouldn’t— He can’t. What about Yoongi hyung? What would happen to hyung? What would he think? He needs Hyun by his side right now. He—”
“Jimin.” Jungkook grips him by the shoulders. “He’s not changing his mind. He’s already on the plane. Jihyun left.”
Taehyung swears but it’s muted, pushed aside when all Jimin can hear is the ringing in his ears.
Jungkook finally looks up at him, the helplessness and despair reflected in his eyes makes Jimin finally understand that this was reality.
There was no way Yoongi could ever forgive him after this.
(or in which; Jimin has a dumb ideaᵀᴹ and assumes the role of Park Jihyun, Yoongi's almost fiancé and his twin brother, when said brother runs away after learning that Yoongi is temporarily blind. Cue heartache and many, many tears.)
