Summary
The Witch of the North, Galinda the Giving, and the wanted criminal, Thief of the East, are naturally enemies. And yet, the feelings that continue to develop between the two become more intimate and dangerous than just simple loathing.
The wanted fugitive and good witch AU that nobody asked for. Where Elphaba was raised as an orphan who learned to fend for herself and was recruited by an actual gang of misfits, meanwhile, Galinda does, in fact, have magic and gets everything she ever wished for. Accepted into Shiz, Morrible’s star student, an invitation to meet the Wizard, and (as luck would have it), engaged to a prince! Life is too perfect to feel as if something is...missing?

“A little?”
Glinda twirls a strand of blonde hair around her finger, not meeting her eyes. “Tiny. Microscopical. Infinitesimal. Just a whisper of a coordinated multiyear plan involving publicists, historians, theater troupes, and a very spirited group of fans.”
Elphaba blinks.
Glinda smiles sweetly.
“Elphaba,” she says gently, “darling—to come back from a smear campaign, you simply must have good press.”

“That’s not what I asked,” Glinda murmurs, quiet but unyielding, her thumb softly but deliberately stroking the skin beneath her cheekbone. “What is it you really want?”After 'As Long As You’re Mine', instead of a vision of Nessa, Elphaba has a devastating vision of Glinda’s breakdown mid-heartbreak and is compelled to go make things right. Canon fix-It of sorts.

Summary
She banishes the Wizard and imprisons Madame Morrible. She disbands the Gale Force and places Fiyero's murderers on trial at the Hall of Justice. She has her staff gather all of the Wicked Witch propaganda within the palace and orders it to be incinerated. She issues a proclamation denouncing discrimination against the Animals, and rallies the League of Governors to repeal anti-Animal legislation across Oz.
However. There is one thing she hasn't quite figured out.
"Glinda?" Pfannee steps into her office. "Dorothy's asking for you again."
Glinda's forehead hits her desk with a resolute thud. "Oz help me," she groans. "Tell her to go away."
Or: After the Melting, Glinda puts herself back together through sheer force of will. There's work to be done, and she is the one person who can do it all.

Morrible unfurls Glinda’s mind like a scroll, examining the contents of her memory the way she examined the displayed organs of the first fetal pig she ever dissected. It’s less cohesive than the innards of a pig. That’s the problem with memory bound by emotion. Love is diffuse. It so easily becomes entangled in every aspect of the human experience, regardless of whether the target was physically present or not. Extracting it with any amount of elegance can get…dicey.
