“Seriously, are you sure you don’t want to take the day off?” The brunette asked, sounding concerned.

Sure, his parents were home 3 days a month if he was lucky, and barely looked his way when they were there, but they were still his parents.

Summary
Tommy had been living with Wilbur for a month now, and it had been the best month of his life by far.
He finally had three meals a day, a warm bed and, most importantly, he was loved. Wilbur was finally providing all of the love and care he had been craving his whole life. Tommy knew he was loved, Wilbur proved this every day with his actions.
But it still didn’t prevent the bad thoughts from creeping up in Tommy’s head.
OR: Tommy has bad thoughts and Wilbur comforts him.
