A devastating war sees what's left of humanity fleeing its home planets, searching for a new home among the stars. As the last remaining military space ship, the Battlestar Galactica – and by extension its commander Caitlyn Kiramman – become the sole protectors of the refugees. Dealing with the cruel reality of humanity’s near-extinction, Caitlyn gets caught between duty, politics and grief. The isolated position as the fleet's highest ranking officer takes its toll, she aches for connection, but any such relationship would be in breach of the military’s code of conduct, and go against her better judgement. Ignoring these desires would be a lot easier if it wasn’t for a long-standing mutual attraction to fighter pilot Vi Lanes. -
