Summary
Alpha Min and his son, Jimin, have always fared well enough on their own, but the omega pup is far past the expected age for his first heat. His doctor suggests that Yoongi adhere to the old ways and take on the role of Jimin's alpha to coax the omega's body into a regular cycle. Yoongi is willing to do whatever is necessary for the health and wellbeing of his son, but the more he and Jimin play at being mates, the less he feels capable of letting his omega pup go.
What neither of them realize is that Jimin's body has gone dormant from the fear of what his heat inevitably brings: an alpha to sweep him away and steal him from his father. With that fear assuaged by his sire's growing possessiveness and attention, it's only a matter of time before playing pretend doesn't satisfy either of them anymore.

Yoongi seemed ridiculously confused, and Jimin almost laughed.
“Do humans…do I have to court you, then?”
Jimin wasn’t able to stop the laugh this time. He let out a cackle, which he forced to turn into a less obnoxious giggle, more fitting of an omega. “I haven’t heard that term in forever. No, you don’t have to ‘court’ me. But you do have to get to know me, dummy. And I don’t mean just my body.”
Yoongi’s eyes narrowed.
“You’re a strange omega,” he said at last. -
