"What.The.Fuck” a voice made them all jump, Even Romeo. They turn to look at Cameron now shaking but standing next to his desk. “What just happened?! What was that?!” He squeaked. “Uhhhh…” Greg said, unconsciously moving in front of Connor as if to protect him. A comforting hand sitting on his shoulder.
“YOU GUYS HAVE SUPERPOWERS! An..and! You fight bad guys!?” Cameron screamed half in awe half in fear almost like he couldn't choose what to feel. “Yeah?” Amaya said hesitantly.
“Fuck.” whispered the teacher rather loudly. “I owe the principal like $10.” Greg couldn't help it, he burst out laughing

"I can fix this," Avery's word shook, he was taking a few steps back, both hands up slightly. He was hesitant, he did not know what he was doing, but all Derek knew was that Avery was just so selfless it hurts.
"I can fix this."
Derek sees one single timeline.
He's too late.

In which Derek gets out alive, losing his infinite knowledge, but at a cost. Avery, in his mind, battles against the king to take control of his mind back. His physical body is left to act as a vessel waiting for its host.
Derek must find a way to bring Avery back.

Derek started to get dizzy and lightheaded.
Seems like he was going to be gone soon.
He heard the cheers for the people from the apartments, the fireworks shooting up into the air a few seconds after.
He watched them for 30 seconds, before getting too lightheaded.
He knew what was going to happen next.
Derek turned around and backed away from the window, not wanting his corpse to fall out of it and make a big scene on New Years.
As he was laying down on the floor so he didn’t make a big thud when he died, he heard it. A faint voice from the window.
“DEREK! DEREK! COME BACK PLEASE! LOOK DOWN!”

At the crossroads, Avery turns left.
The golden doors loom over his character, tall and identical, their surfaces catching the light in a way that feels just a little too deliberate. Even from behind the screen, a chill prickles along Avery’s arms.
Still, he swallows it down. Keeps going. It’s fine. It’s just a game.
He approaches the doors, takes one final breath, and then—
“A block of gold?”
Well, what had he expected, anyway?
Something grander?
Something scarier?
Something less boring?
“Well… that’s that, I guess.” Avery mutters, wrist twitching as he moves to turn his character around and head back, when—for better or worse—something interesting does happen.
His head suddenly feels… heavy. Too heavy. His vision starts to blur, the screen warps.
The room tilts—
And the last thing he registers is the dull thud of his head hitting the keyboard.
